Description

A creamy, spicy, homemade Fritos bean dip recipe that tastes just like the classic Frito-Lay version.

Ingredients

Scale

1 can (16 oz) refried beans

1 tbsp pickled jalapeño brine

1 tsp chili powder

1/2 tsp cumin

1/4 tsp paprika

1/4 tsp cayenne

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/4 tsp salt

1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese

2 tbsp cream cheese

1 tbsp water or milk

Instructions

1. Heat refried beans in saucepan over medium heat.

2. Add spices and jalapeño brine; stir until smooth.

3. Stir in cheeses until melted and creamy.

4. Add water or milk to adjust consistency.

5. Serve warm with Fritos or tortilla chips.

Notes

Add extra jalapeños for spice.

Reheat gently with a splash of water.

Serve as base for 7-layer dip or with nachos.
