Description

Delicious and tender street tacos made easily in a crock pot with flavorful meat and customizable toppings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds of flank steak or pork shoulder
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup of beef or chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon of chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Tortillas for serving
  • Toppings: diced onions, cilantro, lime wedges, salsa

Instructions

  1. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to a Crock Pot.
  2. Place the flank steak or pork shoulder on top of the onions and garlic.
  3. Mix the broth, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl, then pour over the meat.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 360-480 minutes or until the meat is tender.
  5. Shred the meat with forks and mix it in the sauce.
  6. Serve in tortillas and add desired toppings.

Notes

Check the meat around the 6-hour mark to avoid overcooking. Use quality meat for the best flavor.
