Description
A quick and creamy pasta dish featuring savory sausage and a rich Alfredo sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz fettuccine or any pasta of your choice
- 1 lb Italian sausage (mild or spicy)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once heated, add the Italian sausage. Break it into smaller pieces as it cooks. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute or until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
- Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream. Let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese while stirring. Keep stirring until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet. Toss it gently to coat the pasta in the creamy sauce.
- Remove from heat, and serve immediately. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley for an extra touch.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat gently, adding a splash of milk or cream if needed.
