Description

A quick and easy Bacon Fried Rice recipe that combines crispy bacon with flavorful vegetables and rice for a delightful meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups cooked rice (preferably day-old)
  • 6 strips of bacon, chopped
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a large skillet or wok over medium heat until crispy, about 5–7 minutes.
  2. Sauté the diced onion in the remaining bacon grease until translucent, around 3–4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  3. Add the frozen peas and carrots and cook until heated through, about 2–3 minutes.
  4. Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet. Pour the beaten eggs into the empty space and scramble until fully cooked, then mix everything together.
  5. Add the cooked rice and crispy bacon to the skillet and mix well.
  6. Pour the soy sauce and sesame oil over the rice mixture, stir to combine, and cook for another 3–4 minutes until heated through.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
  8. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

Use day-old rice for the best texture. Customize with different vegetables as desired.
