Description

A simple and delightful dish that’s sweet and moist, perfect for dessert, snacking, or breakfast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Cream the softened butter until creamy, then add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Combine the milk and vanilla extract into the butter and eggs mixture. Mix until well combined.
  5. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined; do not overmix.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly with a spatula.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Serve sliced into squares and enjoy!

Notes

You can serve it with a drizzle of glaze or a scoop of ice cream.
