- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup of milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
- Cream the softened butter until creamy, then add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Combine the milk and vanilla extract into the butter and eggs mixture. Mix until well combined.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined; do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly with a spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Serve sliced into squares and enjoy!
