Description
Delicious cookie cups filled with gooey caramel and topped with chocolate, mimicking the popular Twix candy bar.

- 1/2 cup salted butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg white
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 20 caramels, unwrapped
- 1 tbsp milk
- 2 cups milk chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the salted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the vanilla extract and egg white until fully combined.
- Gradually add the all-purpose flour and baking powder, mixing until a dough forms.
- Press the dough into the bottom and up the sides of a greased muffin tin to form cups.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
- While the cookie cups cool, melt the caramels with milk in a saucepan over low heat until smooth.
- Spoon the caramel mixture into the cookie cups, filling them halfway.
- Melt the milk chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth.
- Pour the melted chocolate over the caramel layer in each cup, smoothing it out with a spatula.
- Allow to cool and set before removing from the muffin tin.
Notes
For longer storage, wrap each cup in plastic wrap and then in aluminum foil. They can last up to three months in the freezer.
