- 1 cup pecans, roughly chopped
- 1 cup pretzel sticks
- 1 cup gummy bears (optional)
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda (optional for lighter texture)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine Rice Chex cereal, pecans, pretzel sticks, and gummy bears.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat, then add brown sugar, granulated sugar, corn syrup, salt, and vanilla extract. Stir constantly until it boils.
- Let the mixture boil for 4-5 minutes, stirring in baking soda if desired.
- Pour the toffee mixture over the dry ingredients and fold to coat evenly.
- Spread evenly on the baking sheet and bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Let cool completely before breaking into clumps.
- Melt chocolate chips in the microwave and drizzle over the cooled mixture.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
