- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup bell peppers, chopped (mix of colors)
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients by chopping the onion, garlic, and bell peppers.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil.
- Add the onions and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Mix in the minced garlic and chopped bell peppers, cooking for another 3 minutes.
- Brown the ground beef in the center of the skillet until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
- Combine the vegetables into the beef and add the diced tomatoes, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, and cumin.
- Simmer the mixture for about 15-20 minutes to meld the flavors.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
For a spicy kick, add chopped jalapeños or red pepper flakes. This dish can be stored in the fridge for 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
