Description

A vibrant and crunchy broccoli salad with dried cranberries, crispy bacon, and a creamy dressing. Perfect for potlucks and family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets (about 1 large head)
  • 1/2 cup red onion (thinly sliced)
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds (toasted)
  • 1/2 cup bacon bits (cooked crispy)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash the broccoli thoroughly under cold water and cut into bite-sized florets.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the broccoli florets, red onion, dried cranberries, toasted sunflower seeds, and bacon bits. Gently toss together.
  4. Pour the dressing over the salad mixture and use tongs to coat all ingredients evenly.
  5. Chill the salad in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving for the best flavor.

Notes

For added customization, consider adding cheese or different fruits. Omit bacon for a vegetarian version.
