Description

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or a blend)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown the chicken breasts for about 5 minutes on each side.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and place it in a baking dish.
  5. Add the sliced mushrooms to the same skillet and sauté until soft.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream and stir in half of the cheese until melted and combined.
  7. Pour the mushroom mixture over the chicken in the baking dish.
  8. Top with the remaining cheese.
  9. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
