- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or a blend)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown the chicken breasts for about 5 minutes on each side.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and place it in a baking dish.
- Add the sliced mushrooms to the same skillet and sauté until soft.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir in half of the cheese until melted and combined.
- Pour the mushroom mixture over the chicken in the baking dish.
- Top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
