Description

Crispy French fries paired with the tangy, spicy flavor of Taco Bell’s signature sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium-sized Russet potatoes
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • ½ cup of sour cream (optional)
  • Taco Bell Sauce (or homemade recipe)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Potatoes: Start by washing and peeling the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to resemble French fries.
  2. Soak the Fries: Place the cut potatoes into a bowl of cold water for about 30 minutes.
  3. Heat the Oil: In a large pot or deep fryer, heat enough vegetable oil to completely submerge the fries. Heat it to around 350°F (175°C).
  4. Dry the Fries: Once the potatoes have soaked, drain them and pat them dry with paper towels.
  5. Fry the Potatoes: Carefully add the dried potato strips to the hot oil, frying in batches for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Drain and Season: Remove the fries from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate. While still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.
  7. Serve with Taco Bell Sauce: Once all fries are cooked, serve them warm with Taco Bell Sauce drizzled on top or on the side for dipping.

Notes

Ensure fries are cut evenly and dried thoroughly to avoid splattering during frying.
