Description

A refreshing strawberry sorbet made with fresh strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, and water, perfect for hot summer days.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup water
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Hull and halve the strawberries.
  2. In a blender, combine strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, water, and salt.
  3. Blend until smooth and uniform.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary.
  5. Optionally, strain the mixture to remove seeds.
  6. Pour the mixture into a shallow container.
  7. Cover and freeze for about 4 hours or until firm.
  8. Let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping.
  9. Serve in bowls or dessert glasses, garnished with mint or strawberry slices.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks. Press plastic wrap onto the surface to prevent ice crystals.
