Ingredients

- 12.5 ounces (3/4 pound) Strawberries
- 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
- 1 cup Heavy cream (cold)
- Extra strawberries for topping
Instructions
- Wash and hull the strawberries, then slice them in half.
- Blend the strawberries with 1/4 cup of sugar until smooth.
- Dissolve the gelatin in cold water, heat until melted, and then let it cool.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with the remaining sugar until soft peaks form.
- Fold the strawberry puree into the cooled gelatin.
- Gently fold in the whipped cream into the strawberry mixture.
- Spoon the mousse into cups or ramekins and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
Notes
Do not freeze the mousse; it’s best consumed fresh. Use fresh strawberries for optimal flavor and texture.
