Description

A light and airy dessert combining fresh strawberries with whipped cream for a delightful treat.


Ingredients

  • 12.5 ounces (3/4 pound) Strawberries
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 cup Heavy cream (cold)
  • Extra strawberries for topping

Instructions

  1. Wash and hull the strawberries, then slice them in half.
  2. Blend the strawberries with 1/4 cup of sugar until smooth.
  3. Dissolve the gelatin in cold water, heat until melted, and then let it cool.
  4. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with the remaining sugar until soft peaks form.
  5. Fold the strawberry puree into the cooled gelatin.
  6. Gently fold in the whipped cream into the strawberry mixture.
  7. Spoon the mousse into cups or ramekins and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.

Notes

Do not freeze the mousse; it’s best consumed fresh. Use fresh strawberries for optimal flavor and texture.
