- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/4 cup strawberry preserves
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup oats
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking pan.
- Cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the flour, salt, and baking powder until a soft dough forms.
- Press half of the dough into the bottom of the prepared pan to form a crust.
- In another bowl, mix sliced strawberries with strawberry preserves and spread over the crust.
- Crumble the remaining dough over the strawberry filling.
- In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and oats. Sprinkle this mixture on top of the crust.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars and serving.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days, or refrigerate for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze for up to three months.
