Description

Delightful Strawberry Crumble Buttery Bars featuring a sweet and tangy strawberry filling atop a crumbly, buttery crust.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup strawberry preserves
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup oats

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking pan.
  2. Cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the flour, salt, and baking powder until a soft dough forms.
  4. Press half of the dough into the bottom of the prepared pan to form a crust.
  5. In another bowl, mix sliced strawberries with strawberry preserves and spread over the crust.
  6. Crumble the remaining dough over the strawberry filling.
  7. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and oats. Sprinkle this mixture on top of the crust.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool before cutting into bars and serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days, or refrigerate for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze for up to three months.
