Description

Delicious candy-coated apples infused with strawberry flavor, perfect for parties and special snacks.


Ingredients

  • 4 apples
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 package strawberry-flavored gelatin
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Wooden sticks or skewers

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the apples, then insert a wooden stick into the top of each apple.
  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water. Cook over medium heat until the mixture reaches 300°F (hard crack stage) on a candy thermometer.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in strawberry gelatin and vanilla extract quickly until well combined.
  4. Dip each apple into the candy mixture, swirling to coat evenly.
  5. Place the coated apples on a greased baking sheet or parchment paper to cool.
  6. Allow the candy coating to harden before serving.

Notes

Choose firm apples for the best crunch. Store in airtight containers and refrigerate for up to 7 days.
