- 4 apples
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 package strawberry-flavored gelatin
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Wooden sticks or skewers
Instructions
- Wash and dry the apples, then insert a wooden stick into the top of each apple.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water. Cook over medium heat until the mixture reaches 300°F (hard crack stage) on a candy thermometer.
- Remove from heat and stir in strawberry gelatin and vanilla extract quickly until well combined.
- Dip each apple into the candy mixture, swirling to coat evenly.
- Place the coated apples on a greased baking sheet or parchment paper to cool.
- Allow the candy coating to harden before serving.
Notes
Choose firm apples for the best crunch. Store in airtight containers and refrigerate for up to 7 days.
