Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup strawberries, mashed
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar for glaze
  • 23 tablespoons milk for glaze

Instructions

  1. Combine the dry ingredients: In a bowl, mix together flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. Prepare the wet ingredients: Heat milk and butter until warm, then add to the dry mixture with egg.
  3. Knead the dough: Knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise: Cover and let it sit in a warm area for about 1 hour until doubled.
  5. Make the filling: Blend cream cheese, mashed strawberries, powdered sugar, and vanilla until creamy.
  6. Roll out the dough: Roll to a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  7. Spread the filling: Evenly distribute the filling over the rolled-out dough.
  8. Roll and cut: Roll tightly into a log and slice into 1 to 1.5 inch rolls.
  9. Prepare the baking dish: Grease a dish and place rolls inside, leaving space between them.
  10. Let rise again: Cover the rolls and let rise for about 30 minutes.
