Description

A delicious combination of tender steak and cheesy ravioli covered in a rich and flavorful creamy garlic herb sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin steak (cut into 1-inch cubes)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 16 oz refrigerated cheese ravioli
  • 1 tsp salt (divided)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup yellow onion (finely chopped)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine (or beef broth)
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the steak: Pat the steak cubes dry with a paper towel and season generously with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and black pepper.
  2. Sear the steak: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak cubes and sear for 1-2 minutes on each side until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Cook the ravioli: Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Add the ravioli and cook according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  4. Make the sauce: In the same skillet, add butter over medium heat. Once melted, add chopped onion and cook for 3 minutes until softened. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  5. Deglaze the pan: Add dry white wine (or beef broth) to deglaze, scraping up any browned bits. Simmer for 1 minute.
  6. Add broth and cream: Stir in beef broth and heavy cream. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. Combine everything: Reduce heat to low and stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Add seared steak and cooked ravioli, tossing gently to coat in sauce.
  8. Garnish and serve: Sprinkle fresh parsley over the top and serve immediately.

Notes

For best texture, ensure steak is cooked medium-rare to medium. Fresh garlic and herbs enhance flavor.
