Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box vanilla cake mix
- 1 container frosting
- 1 package melted candy (candy melts or chocolate)
- Lollipop sticks
- Sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven and bake the vanilla cake according to the package instructions. Once done, let it cool completely.
- Once the cake is cool, crumble it into a large bowl. Make sure the pieces are small for easy mixing with the frosting.
- Add the container of frosting to the crumbled cake. Mix until everything is well combined.
- Scoop out small portions of the mixture and form them into balls. Place each ball on a baking sheet.
- Melt the candy according to the package instructions. Dip the end of each lollipop stick into the melted candy.
- Insert each lollipop stick into the center of each cake ball.
- Place the baking sheet in the freezer for about 15 minutes to allow the cake balls to firm up.
- Dip each cake pop into the melted candy, ensuring they are completely coated.
- Place the coated pops in a styrofoam block or cake pop stand to let any excess candy drip off.
- If desired, sprinkle decorations on the coated cake pops while the candy is still wet.
- Allow the cake pops to set for about 30 minutes at room temperature before serving.
