Description

Delicious homemade Starbucks cake pops that are fun to make and customizable for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box vanilla cake mix
  • 1 container frosting
  • 1 package melted candy (candy melts or chocolate)
  • Lollipop sticks
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven and bake the vanilla cake according to the package instructions. Once done, let it cool completely.
  2. Once the cake is cool, crumble it into a large bowl. Make sure the pieces are small for easy mixing with the frosting.
  3. Add the container of frosting to the crumbled cake. Mix until everything is well combined.
  4. Scoop out small portions of the mixture and form them into balls. Place each ball on a baking sheet.
  5. Melt the candy according to the package instructions. Dip the end of each lollipop stick into the melted candy.
  6. Insert each lollipop stick into the center of each cake ball.
  7. Place the baking sheet in the freezer for about 15 minutes to allow the cake balls to firm up.
  8. Dip each cake pop into the melted candy, ensuring they are completely coated.
  9. Place the coated pops in a styrofoam block or cake pop stand to let any excess candy drip off.
  10. If desired, sprinkle decorations on the coated cake pops while the candy is still wet.
  11. Allow the cake pops to set for about 30 minutes at room temperature before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, in the fridge for a week, or wrap individually and freeze for up to 3 months.
