A comforting and flavorful dish featuring jumbo pasta shells filled with a hearty mixture of ground beef, fresh spinach, and cheeses, topped with marinara sauce and baked to perfection.

- 12 ounces jumbo pasta shells (about 20–24 shells)
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup onion, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups loosely packed fresh spinach
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Boil 6 cups of water in a large pot, add a pinch of salt, and cook the jumbo pasta shells until al dente.
- In a skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until browned and onion is soft, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add spinach, basil, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper, cooking until spinach wilts, about 2 minutes.
- Mix in half of the marinara sauce with the beef and spinach mixture.
- Drain pasta shells and fill each shell with 2-3 tablespoons of the filling.
- Arrange filled shells in a casserole dish and pour the remaining marinara sauce over top.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses generously over the sauce.
- Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes, then broil for 1-2 minutes until cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve warm, garnished with extra Parmesan or fresh basil. Great to store as leftovers.
