Description

A delightful dish that turns a simple salmon fillet into a sweet and spicy flavor experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (500g) salmon
  • Salt
  • Ground black pepper
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon whole grain Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Asian chili garlic sauce (or Tabasco sauce)
  • 1/2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (207°C).
  2. Rinse the salmon with cold water and gently pat it dry with paper towels.
  3. Place the salmon on a large sheet of aluminum foil and season with salt and ground black pepper.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the honey, Dijon mustard, chili garlic sauce, apple cider vinegar, and sesame oil.
  5. Pour the spicy honey sauce over the salmon and coat it evenly.
  6. Fold the aluminum foil over the salmon to create a tight packet.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15–20 minutes, checking for doneness after 15 minutes.
  8. Once cooked, carefully unwrap the foil, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

Make sure to distribute the sauce evenly for balanced flavor.
