Description

Delicious and healthy salmon burgers spiced with Cajun seasoning and topped with a creamy avocado sauce, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb of fresh salmon fillets
  • 1 cup of bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons of Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon of minced garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 avocado
  • 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon of lime juice
  • Burger buns
  • Lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles for toppings

Instructions

  1. Remove the skin from the salmon fillets and chop into small pieces or blend in a food processor until coarse.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine chopped salmon, bread crumbs, egg, Cajun seasoning, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until fully incorporated.
  3. Shape the mixture into burger patties, making four to six patties.
  4. Refrigerate the patties for about 30 minutes to help firm them up.
  5. Make the creamy avocado sauce by mashing the avocado and mixing it with Greek yogurt, lime juice, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  6. Heat a non-stick skillet or grill over medium heat and cook the salmon patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.
  7. Toast the burger buns lightly and spread some creamy avocado sauce on the bottom. Add salmon patties, topped with lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles, then place the top half of the bun.
  8. Serve with extra avocado sauce on the side for dipping.

Notes

Use fresh salmon for the best taste and texture. Adjust spice levels according to your preference.
