Description

A rich and sweet Southern classic dessert featuring a gooey filling and crunchy pecans, perfect for holiday gatherings or family meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 unbaked pie crust (9 inches)
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the unbaked pie crust by placing it into a 9-inch pie plate. Crimp the edges to your desired style and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the corn syrup, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Whisk together until smooth.
  4. Add the beaten eggs, vanilla extract, and salt, whisking until fully incorporated.
  5. Gently fold in the pecan halves.
  6. Pour the pecan filling into the prepared pie crust, spreading it evenly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 60 to 70 minutes, or until the pie is set and jiggles slightly in the center.
  8. Let the pie cool on a wire rack for at least 2 hours before slicing.

Notes

Serve warm or cold. Pecan pie can be topped with whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, or caramel sauce for an extra treat.
