Description

A comforting casserole featuring ground beef, egg noodles, and a creamy sauce, topped with melted cheddar cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook the egg noodles in salted water until just tender, then drain well.
  2. Cook the ground beef and chopped onion in a large skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Lower the heat and stir in the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and gently fold until evenly coated with the sauce.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and spread evenly. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  6. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and melted. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, do not overcook the noodles and let the casserole rest before serving.
