- 1 pound ground beef
- 8 ounces egg noodles
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook the egg noodles in salted water until just tender, then drain well.
- Cook the ground beef and chopped onion in a large skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Lower the heat and stir in the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and gently fold until evenly coated with the sauce.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and spread evenly. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
- Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and melted. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For best results, do not overcook the noodles and let the casserole rest before serving.
