A satisfying dish combining tender chicken with a rich cream of mushroom sauce and melty cheese.

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup of cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup of shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1 cup of sliced mushrooms
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, and sear them until golden brown on both sides.
- Place the seared chicken in a baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup and sliced mushrooms, then pour over the chicken.
- Sprinkle cheese on top of the mixture.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Remove the foil during the last 10 minutes of baking to let the cheese brown slightly.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
For added flavor, experiment with different types of cheese or add vegetables to the sauce.
