Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 4 oz smoked salmon, chopped
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped (or 1 tsp dried dill)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp capers, rinsed and chopped
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • Optional: sliced bagels or crackers for serving

Instructions

  1. Ensure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature for better blending.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream, blending until smooth.
  3. Gently fold in the chopped smoked salmon.
  4. Add dill, lemon juice, capers, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary.
  6. Transfer to a serving bowl, cover, and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Serve chilled with sliced bagels or crackers, garnished with additional dill if desired.

Notes

For best flavor, allow the spread to chill before serving. It can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-5 days.
