- 2 lbs raw beef chuck
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 2 potatoes, diced
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 bay leaf
Instructions
- Place the raw beef chuck in the slow cooker.
- In a separate bowl, combine beef broth, onion, garlic, carrots, potatoes, celery, thyme, salt, pepper, and bay leaf. Mix well.
- Ladle the mixture over the beef chuck in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 480 minutes or high for 240 minutes, until the beef is tender.
- Once done, remove the bay leaf and serve warm.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider browning the beef before adding it to the slow cooker.
