Description

Delicious shrimp tacos filled with fresh flavors, crunchy cabbage, and zesty lime, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas
  • 2 cups purple cabbage, shredded
  • ½ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges

Instructions

  1. Combine the shrimp with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Toss to coat well.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes or until they turn pink and are cooked through, stirring occasionally.
  3. Warm the tortillas in a separate pan or microwave until they are soft and pliable.
  4. Assemble the tacos by placing the cooked shrimp on the warmed tortillas. Top with shredded purple cabbage and chopped fresh cilantro for added flavor and crunch.
  5. Serve the tacos with lime wedges on the side. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the tacos before enjoying!

Notes

Do not overcook the shrimp to avoid a rubbery texture. Fresh ingredients yield the best flavor.
