- 1 pound fresh green beans
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lemon juice (optional)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil, add green beans and cook for 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and set aside.
- Melt unsalted butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add cooked green beans to the skillet and toss to coat in garlic butter.
- Season with salt and pepper, stirring to combine.
- Optional: Drizzle lemon juice over the green beans for extra flavor.
- Serve warm as a side dish.
Notes
For an extra kick, add red pepper flakes when sautéing the garlic. Fresh herbs like thyme or parsley can add a nice twist as well.
