Description

A comforting dish combining Italian sausage, creamy sauce, and hearty rigatoni pasta, perfect for busy weeknights or special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz rigatoni pasta
  • 1 lb Italian sausage (mild or spicy)
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the rigatoni pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the Italian sausage and cook until browned.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the diced tomatoes and heavy cream; let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked rigatoni to the skillet and toss to coat it in the sauce.
  6. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil.
