Description

A delightful pie combining the sweetness of honey with a touch of whiskey, all wrapped in a flaky pie crust.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup ice water
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup whiskey
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • Flaky sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix flour, salt, and butter until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Mix in ice water until the dough comes together.
  4. Roll out the dough and fit it into a pie pan.
  5. Bake the crust for 15 minutes until lightly golden.
  6. Whisk together honey, whiskey, eggs, lemon juice, and salt in another bowl.
  7. Pour the filling into the baked pie crust.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until set.
  9. Let cool and top with whipped cream and flaky sea salt before serving.
