Description

Delicious cookies featuring a soft buttery base and gooey caramel bits, topped with a sprinkle of sea salt for the perfect sweet and salty treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup caramel bits
  • Sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the caramel bits.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  7. Sprinkle a little sea salt on top of each cookie.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Use properly measured ingredients for best results and avoid overmixing to keep cookies tender.
