- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream the softened butter with the brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add all-purpose flour, vanilla extract, and salt, stir until well combined.
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Spread half of the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Pour and spread caramel sauce over the first layer of dough.
- Crumble the remaining dough over the caramel layer.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- Sprinkle sea salt on top while warm and let cool completely before cutting into bars.
