- 1 cup caramel sauce

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Add this mixture gradually to the creamed butter and sugar mixture.
- Fold in the chopped apples and nuts if you are using them.
- Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
- Drizzle the cookies with caramel sauce once cooled.
