Description
Classic rumaki recipe featuring chicken livers, water chestnuts, and bacon baked to crispy perfection with a soy glaze.
Ingredients
1 lb chicken livers, cut into bite-size pieces
1 can water chestnuts, drained
12 bacon slices, halved
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
Wooden toothpicks, soaked
Instructions
1. Marinate chicken livers and water chestnuts with soy sauce and brown sugar.
2. Preheat oven to 350°F.
3. Wrap each liver and chestnut with half a slice of bacon, secure with a toothpick.
4. Place on baking sheet and bake 20–25 minutes until bacon is crisp.
5. Serve hot with dipping sauces.
Notes
For fake rumaki, skip the chicken livers and use pineapple chunks or just water chestnuts.
