Ingredients

  • 1 cup chocolate chips or jam (apricot, raspberry, etc.)
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
  • 1/4 cup cinnamon sugar

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, cream the butter and cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Gradually add flour, sugar, and salt, mixing until just combined.
  3. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Divide dough into four portions, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Roll out each dough portion into a circle, spread with chocolate, jam, or sprinkle with nuts and cinnamon sugar.
  7. Cut into wedges and roll up each wedge from the wide end.
  8. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden.
  9. Cool before serving.
