Description
Delightful rice paper dumplings filled with shrimp, veggies, and herbs, served with a delicious dipping sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 10 sheets rice paper
- 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
- 1 cup cabbage, finely shredded
- 1/2 cup carrots, grated
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 teaspoon lime juice
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, shredded cabbage, grated carrots, chopped green onions, chopped cilantro, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly coated.
- Fill a shallow dish with warm water. Dip one sheet of rice paper into the water for about 10 seconds until it becomes softened and pliable.
- Place the softened rice paper on a clean surface or cutting board. Add about 2 tablespoons of the filling mixture in the center of the rice paper.
- Fold the sides of the rice paper over the filling, then roll it up tightly from the bottom to the top. Make sure the filling is securely enclosed.
- Repeat the process with the remaining rice paper sheets and filling until you have made all the dumplings.
- For the dipping sauce, whisk together the hoisin sauce, peanut butter, water, and lime juice in a small bowl until smooth. Adjust the consistency by adding more water if needed.
- Serve the dumplings with the dipping sauce on the side. Enjoy each bite as you dip and savor the flavors!
