- 12 oz thin pasta noodles (angel hair, linguine, or spaghetti)
- 3 tbsp salted butter
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 5 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 lb extra-large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- Sea salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Do not rinse the pasta after draining.
- In a large sauté pan, heat butter and olive oil over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until lightly golden and fragrant.
- Add shrimp in a single layer, seasoning with sea salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for a couple of minutes until shrimp start to turn pink.
- Deglaze the pan with dry white wine, gently stirring to coat the shrimp. Let simmer for 2 minutes until the liquid reduces by half.
- Flip shrimp and lower the heat. Cook for about 1 more minute until fully opaque and cooked through.
- Remove the pan from heat, then add chopped parsley and lemon juice along with a pinch of black pepper. Toss with cooked pasta until well combined.
- Serve hot, paired with crusty bread or a lemon wedge, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired.
