Description

A delicious and easy-to-make Shrimp Scampi recipe that brings a taste of fine dining into your kitchen, perfect for impressing family and friends.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz thin pasta noodles (angel hair, linguine, or spaghetti)
  • 3 tbsp salted butter
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 lb extra-large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • Sea salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Do not rinse the pasta after draining.
  2. In a large sauté pan, heat butter and olive oil over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until lightly golden and fragrant.
  3. Add shrimp in a single layer, seasoning with sea salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for a couple of minutes until shrimp start to turn pink.
  4. Deglaze the pan with dry white wine, gently stirring to coat the shrimp. Let simmer for 2 minutes until the liquid reduces by half.
  5. Flip shrimp and lower the heat. Cook for about 1 more minute until fully opaque and cooked through.
  6. Remove the pan from heat, then add chopped parsley and lemon juice along with a pinch of black pepper. Toss with cooked pasta until well combined.
  7. Serve hot, paired with crusty bread or a lemon wedge, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired.
