- 500g beef strips
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Rice or noodles for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and cornstarch. Add beef strips to this mixture and marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the ginger and garlic to the pan and stir-fry for about 30 seconds.
- Add the marinated beef to the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes until it turns nicely browned.
- Add the sliced bell pepper and cook for another 2-3 minutes until it is tender but still crisp.
- Serve over rice or noodles and garnish with green onions.
Notes
For a spicy version, add chili paste or sriracha to the marinade. For a vegetarian option, substitute beef with tofu.
