Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g beef strips
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and cornstarch. Add beef strips to this mixture and marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the ginger and garlic to the pan and stir-fry for about 30 seconds.
  4. Add the marinated beef to the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes until it turns nicely browned.
  5. Add the sliced bell pepper and cook for another 2-3 minutes until it is tender but still crisp.
  6. Serve over rice or noodles and garnish with green onions.

Notes

For a spicy version, add chili paste or sriracha to the marinade. For a vegetarian option, substitute beef with tofu.
