Description

A delicious twist on classic comfort foods, combining cheesy grilled cheese with pizza flavors for a delightful meal.


Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread (white, sourdough, or whole wheat)
  • 4 tablespoons marinara or pizza sauce
  • 1 cup (100g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 8–10 slices of pepperoni (or preferred pizza topping)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • Sliced black olives
  • Sautéed mushrooms
  • Sliced bell peppers
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Grated Parmesan cheese
  • Additional marinara or pizza sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Prepare all ingredients, sautéing any vegetables until slightly soft.
  2. Spread softened butter on one side of each slice of bread and marinara sauce on the unbuttered side of two slices.
  3. Assemble the sandwich with mozzarella cheese, toppings, and another slice of bread, buttered side facing out.
  4. Cook in a skillet over medium heat for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  5. Serve warm with marinara or pizza sauce on the side for dipping.

Notes
