Description

Deliciously crispy and sweet Pistachio Baklava Rolls, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 package phyllo dough (16 oz), thawed
  • 2 cups unsalted pistachios, finely chopped
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the chopped pistachios with ground cinnamon.
  3. Unroll the phyllo dough and cover it with a damp cloth.
  4. Take one sheet of phyllo, brush with melted butter, layer another sheet on top and repeat for five sheets.
  5. Sprinkle a thin layer of pistachio mixture over the phyllo sheets.
  6. Roll the phyllo tightly into a log shape and place it on a greased baking sheet.
  7. Brush the tops of the rolls with remaining melted butter.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  9. In a saucepan, combine sugar, water, honey, and vanilla; bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes to make the syrup.
  10. Once the baklava is done, pour hot syrup over the rolls.
  11. Let it cool for at least 2 hours before serving.
