Ingredients

  • 1 (20-ounce) can pineapple chunks, undrained
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (optional)
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
  3. Pour the entire can of crushed pineapple and the entire can of pineapple chunks (both with their juice) into the prepared baking dish.
