- 1 pound of sausage
- 12 slices of bacon
- 1 cup of cream cheese
- 1/2 cup of shredded cheese
- 1/4 cup of BBQ sauce
- 1 tablespoon of smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon of black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- Toothpicks
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or smoker to 250°F (120°C).
- Cut the sausage into thick rounds, about 1 inch wide, and press the middle to form a cup shape.
- Mix together the cream cheese, shredded cheese, BBQ sauce, smoked paprika, black pepper, and garlic powder until well combined.
- Fill each sausage cup with the cream cheese mixture.
- Wrap each filled sausage cup with a slice of bacon, securing with a toothpick.
- Place the pig shots on the grill or smoker and cook for 1 to 1.5 hours, until the bacon is crispy.
- Serve hot and enjoy your new favorite appetizer!
