Ingredients

- 2 ½ cups All-purpose flour
- 1 cup Granulated sugar
- 1 cup Brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon Baking soda
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon Nutmeg
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
- 2 Eggs
- 1 cup Butter (softened)
- 2 cups Chocolate chips
- 1 cup Sprinkles or nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts or sprinkles if you’re using them.
- Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months.
