Description

Delightful Christmas cookies perfect for sharing during the festive season.


Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 cup Butter (softened)
  • 2 cups Chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Sprinkles or nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts or sprinkles if you’re using them.
  7. Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
