Description

A delightful sandwich combining the classic flavors of grilled cheese and pepperoni pizza, easy to prepare and packed with rich flavors.


Ingredients

  • 4 slices sourdough or Italian bread
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup pizza sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat (about 350°F).
  2. Spread 1 tablespoon of softened butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, in the skillet.
  4. Evenly distribute the mozzarella cheese and pepperoni on top of the bread in the skillet.
  5. Top with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side up.
  6. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown and the cheese begins to melt.
  7. Carefully flip the sandwiches and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the other side is golden and the cheese is fully melted.
  8. Remove from the skillet and let cool for 1 minute before slicing in half.
