Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter, powdered sugar, and salt until light and fluffy.
- Stir in the peppermint extract.
- Gradually add the flour and cornstarch, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the crushed peppermint candies.
- Drop dough balls onto the baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set and the centers are still soft.
- Allow cookies to cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Dust with additional powdered sugar before serving.
