Description

A delightful treat that captures the flavor of the holiday season with rich chocolate and refreshing peppermint.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces semisweet chocolate
  • 12 ounces white chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • Crushed peppermint candies for topping

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the semisweet chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth. Pour the melted chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it evenly.
  3. Refrigerate until firm, about 30 minutes.
  4. Melt the white chocolate in a similar fashion, then stir in the peppermint extract. Pour it over the hardened semisweet chocolate and spread evenly.
  5. Sprinkle crushed peppermint candies on top and press lightly.
  6. Refrigerate until set, then break into pieces to serve.

Notes

Use quality chocolate for the best flavor and be careful not to overheat the chocolate while melting.
