- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture until well combined.
- Fold in the dark chocolate chips.
- Drop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for about 10-12 minutes until set.
- While the cookies cool, melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and drizzle over the cookies.
- Immediately sprinkle crushed peppermint candies on top.
- Allow the cookies to set before serving.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week. For longer storage, freeze cookies for up to three months.
