Description

Delightful cookies combining peppermint and chocolate, perfect for the holiday season.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture until well combined.
  5. Fold in the dark chocolate chips.
  6. Drop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  7. Bake for about 10-12 minutes until set.
  8. While the cookies cool, melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and drizzle over the cookies.
  9. Immediately sprinkle crushed peppermint candies on top.
  10. Allow the cookies to set before serving.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week. For longer storage, freeze cookies for up to three months.
