Description

Delicious, crispy bites of bread coated in garlic and Parmesan, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 day-old baguette, Italian loaf, or ciabatta, cut into 1 to 1.5-inch cubes
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan Reggiano or Grana Padano
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the bread into uniform 1 to 1.5-inch cubes.
  3. Melt the butter in a medium microwave-safe bowl and mix in garlic, oregano, parsley, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Pour the melted butter mixture over the bread cubes and toss to coat.
  5. Sprinkle half of the Parmesan cheese over the cubes and toss again.
  6. Spread the cubes in a single layer on the baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown, tossing halfway through.
  7. Transfer baked bread bites to a bowl, sprinkle with remaining Parmesan, and toss gently before serving warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container. They can be reheated in the oven for a few minutes.
