Ingredients
1 lb elbow macaroni
2 cups Best Foods mayonnaise
1/4 cup whole milk
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
2 medium carrots, shredded
1/4 cup grated yellow onion (optional)
1 ½ tsp sugar
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Cook macaroni until very soft (1–2 minutes beyond al dente).
2. Rinse with cold water and let it drain.
3. Mix warm pasta with vinegar, carrots, and onion.
4. Whisk mayonnaise, milk, and sugar in a bowl.
5. Add mayo mixture to pasta and stir well.
6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
7. Refrigerate at least 4 hours before serving.
8. Stir before serving; refresh with milk or mayo if needed.
Notes
Use only Best Foods or Hellmann’s mayo for the right texture and flavor.
Letting it rest overnight improves the taste dramatically.
